Il volume ha come autori il Direttore di TECSA S.r.l. Dott. Ing. Luca Fiorentini ed il Prof. Ing. Luca Marmo del Politecnico di Torino, entrambi esperti ingegneri forensi e fondatori, con il Prof. Ing. Bernardino Chiaia (Vice Rettore del Politecnico di Torino), della divisione specialistica di TECSA denominata MFCforensic, che opera in tale ambito su casi di rilevanza nazionale ed internazionale.

The forensic engineeringapproach is suitable to identify both the immediate causes as well as the underlying factors that affected, amplified or modified the events (in terms of consequences, evolution, dynamics, etc.), as well as the contribution of human error. This book presents both easy to understand and complex real life case studies, providing an overview of the most commonly used methodologies and techniques to investigate accidents. An overview of the evidence which should be collected to define the cause, dynamics and responsibilities of an industrial accident is also presented as are the appropriate methods to securely collect and to preserve this evidence”.
