On Wednesday, 14 October 2026, the City of San Marino will host the conference “The culture of prevention and risk reduction”, taking place at the Kursaal Congress Centre. The initiative is promoted by the State Secretariat for Territory and Environment and the State Secretariat for Internal Affairs, with the support of the Civil Protection Service.
The event is organised into two sessions: the first dedicated to “Risk scenarios: climate change and territorial safety”; the second focused on “Fire prevention in the era of energy transition”, with particular attention to the risks associated with photovoltaic systems, battery storage systems and new-generation building façades.
Among the speakers of the second session is Luca Fiorentini (Engineer, Executive Director of TECSA), who will contribute with the presentation “From risk identification to performance definition. Considerations on emerging risks”, dedicated to the criteria for identifying and assessing emerging risks in fire safety design.
The conference, free of charge until seats are filled and subject to prior registration, grants CPD credits (currently undergoing accreditation) to Architects, Engineers, Surveyors and Industrial Experts. The proceedings will be chaired by Fabio Dattilo, Chief Emeritus of the Italian National Fire Corps.
