THE SAFETY INTEGRITY LEVEL (SIL) ACCORDING TO THE IEC 61511 STANDARD FOR THE PROCESS INDUSTRY
The course, in Italian and lasting 4 hours, intends to provide an overview of the IEC 61511 standard dedicated to plant managers, their first reports, HSE Managers and function managers who intend to familiarize themselves with the benefits deriving from the implementation of a life cycle of functional safety at their sites in accordance with the requirements of the international standard IEC 61511. The course provides an overview of the methods and principles underlying an effective and proportionate adoption in the company of a safety management system functional adhering to international reference standards.
In addition, both the benefits and the costs of such a structured approach are also highlighted with reference to the legal requirements for both new and existing installations. For existing installations, a verification scheme is proposed for the current level of implementation maturity of the functional safety life cycle and the methods for designing a sustainable path over time that can meet the requirements expressed by the reference standards, also in relation to the degree of risk reduction associated, in the process safety analysis, with each technical and organizational-managerial measure.
The didactic material contemplates the synthesis for business managers in a volume prepared by one of the leading and recognized international experts of the standard operating for a leading company in the field of functional safety that has been offering its services for more than 20 years all over the world to major process industry operators.
