The purpose of the assignment was the quantitative assessment of the industrial risk associated with two different plant and operational configurations of a critical plant section.
The development of the quantitative analysis was carried out using the DNV Phast Professional and DNV 3D Explosion calculation codes. Risk recomposition (Quantitative Risk Assessment) was performed using DNV Safeti and DNV Leak.
The comparative evaluation of the findings allowed the identification of an opportunity to further reduce the level of risk associated with the initiative through the implementation of additional control measures than originally planned.
