The Foundation Order of Engineers of the Province of Turin (FOIT) organized the first course of Fire Safety Investigation, which was held from 12/06/19 to 17/07/19 at the headquarters of the foundation, in Via Giovanni Giolitti 1, in Turin (see news).
In the lectures of 17 July (4h), curated by Luca Fiorentini, the following topics have been covered:
- major accidents and the Seveso Directive, risk analysis for the identification of accident scenarios, types of accident scenarios and their modelling, showing practical applications with DNV’s Phast Professional (2h);
- techniques for evaluating the flow of people in emergencies and not, showing practical applications with Pedestrian Dynamics referring to the Matera2019 event (see news on the first and second part of the article published by EPC Editore in the Antincendio magazine) and explaining the basics of this tool (2h).
